SALT LAKE CITY — It has been widely figured for a few days that Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley would be available for Game 3 of the team’s playoff series against the Denver Nuggets on Friday after he left the NBA’s Orlando bubble Sunday when his wife gave birth.
That will indeed be the case, as the Jazz announced about an hour before tip off Friday afternoon that he is ready to go. On Friday morning, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski had reported that Conley was set to be cleared from a four-day quarantine after returning to the bubble on Monday.
Under NBA protocol, Conley was required to quarantine for four days upon return. With Friday’s game set to tip off at 2 p.m. MDT, there was some question whether a Thursday COVID-19 test result would come back in time for him to be cleared, but it was believed that it would.
The series is tied at one game apiece.
