Another transfer receiver is coming to Utah, and he doesn’t have to travel very far.
Utah State pass-catcher Otto Tia has transferred to the Utes, he announced Thursday in an Instagram post.
Tia caught 44 passes for 434 yards and seven touchdowns for the Aggies in 2024.
In a Week 3 matchup against his future Utah teammates, he logged five receptions for 78 yards.
The Layton native and Northridge High School product was a 3-star recruit in the class of 2020, ranking as the No. 21 prospect coming out of Utah by 247 Sports.
Tia appeared in 23 games during his time in Logan. He will arrive in Kyle Whittingham’s program as a redshirt senior with one remaining season of eligibility.
Tia is the third transfer receiver to join the Utes in the current cycle, joining Creed Whittemore and Ryan Davis from Mississippi State and New Mexico, respectively.
