Manti 2, North Sanpete 1

No. 9 Manti edged past No. 8 North Sanpete 2-1 in the first round of the 3A playoffs. After a scoreless first half for Manti, Tyler Steinfeldt and James Dettinger each scored in the second half, with Steinfeldt also providing an assist. North Sanpete’s lone goal came in the first half, but they couldn’t hold their lead as Manti secured the victory.

Canyon View 3, Emery 0

No. 4 Canyon View secured a 3-0 victory over No. 13 Emery in the first round of the 3A playoffs. Dallin Klaybourne, Devin Duncan, and Jackson Beckstrom each found the back of the net for the Falcons. Keeper Camden Sheridan kept a clean sheet, as Canyon View’s defense stifled the Spartans throughout the game. Canyon View’s early offensive push marked a dominating first half, sealing their advancement in the playoffs.

Ben Lomond 5, Grantsville 0

Adriel Vasquez and Robben Ferrufino each scored twice to lead No. 7 Ben Lomond past No. 10 Grantsville 5-0 in the 3A first round playoff game. Jared Velazuez added a goal for the Scots, who surged with four goals in the second half at home. Ben Lomond’s defense held strong, securing a shutout against the Cowboys.

Carbon 8, Providence Hall 0

Case Griffeth scored a hat trick to lead Carbon to an 8-0 victory over Providence Hall in a nonregion game. After taking a 1-0 lead in the first half, Carbon exploded with seven goals in the second half. Lincoln Atwood, Evan Cartwright, Nic Cartwright, Tacoma Smith, and Dayton King each added goals for Carbon, while goalkeeper Ty Mortensen secured the shutout.

Morgan 5, Union 1

Trace Henderson’s hat trick helped Morgan beat Union 5-1 in a nonregion game. Morgan led 1-0 at halftime before scoring four goals in the second half. Zac Nielsen and Cody Adams each added a goal, while Kash Peterson contributed two assists for Morgan. Cody Duncan scored Union’s lone goal.

Logan 3, Delta 0

No. 5 Logan secured a 3-0 victory over No. 12 Delta in the first round of the 3A playoffs. Giovani Lopez contributed with one goal and one assist, while goalkeeper Eli Steele recorded a shutout. Logan’s offensive efforts were bolstered by goals from Gustavo Moura and Miles McNaulty, ensuring their advance to the next round.

Juab 2, Richfield 0

Moises Zerneno and Carter Keen each scored a goal to lead Juab to a 2-0 victory over Richfield in a nonregion game. Juab took an early lead with two first-half goals, while the defense held firm, securing a shutout with goalkeepers Jace Poulsen and Jan Hoelscher sharing duties in net. No. 6 St. Joseph cruised past No. 11 Freedom Prep 9-1 in a dominant 2A second round playoff performance. Connor Stevens scored four goals to lead No. 5 Millard to a commanding 5-0 victory over No. 12 Grand in a 2A second round playoff game. Millard’s Blake Glover secured a shutout in goal as the Eagles dominated from start to finish.

Lennox Mechelke scored in the first half and John Adam Jackson added another goal in the second half to seal the win for the Bulldogs. Edrick Salas recorded a shutout as Gunnison Valley advanced further in the playoffs.

Maeser Prep 7, Wasatch Academy 0

Top-seeded Maeser Prep dominated No. 17 Wasatch Academy 7-0 in the 2A second round playoff game. Jack Pomeroy led the Lions with a hat trick, while Christian Alvez, Noah Johnson, Adam Ireland, and Denzel Sono-Koree each added a goal. Donnel Sono-Koree and Joe Memmott contributed with two assists each, steering Maeser Prep to a decisive victory.

Rowland Hall 2, Enterprise 1

Ranked No. 3, Rowland Hall edged past No. 19 Enterprise 2-1 in the 2A second round playoff game. Fran Fierro and Javier Fierro each scored a goal for Rowland Hall, with assists from Miles Li and Adrian Jones, respectively. Enterprise managed to find the back of the net once in the second half but couldn’t overcome the deficit.

South Summit 5, Utah Military Camp Williams 1

Enzo Casteneda scored twice as No. 5 South Summit defeated No. 10 Camp Williams 5-1 in a 2A second-round playoff game. South Summit surged early with three goals in the first half and maintained their lead with two more in the second half. Micah Smith, Jaren Cottis, and Gigi Castellano each added a goal for the Wildcats. Camp Williams managed to score once in the second half but couldn’t catch up to South Summit’s commanding lead.

Waterford 9, American Leadership 2

No. 2 Waterford cruised past No. 15 ALA in a 2A second round playoff game, winning 9-2. The Ravens dominated from the start and didn’t let up, advancing to Friday’s quarterfinals.

American Heritage 2, Intermountain Christian 0

No. 4 American Heritage secured a 2-0 victory over No. 13 Intermountain Christian in a 2A second round playoff game to advance to Friday’s quarterfinals.
