BYU didn’t have to look far to find a willing partner for the first official jersey patch sponsor for several of its Olympic sports.
On Monday, the university’s athletic department announced that it had reached a multi-year jersey patch agreement with BYU Continuing Education for the school’s Olympic sports programs.
Beginning with the 2026-27 athletic season, the BYU Continuing Education logo will appear on the competition uniforms for baseball, cross country, soccer, softball, track and field, and volleyball.

There will also be a second phase of jersey patch rollouts that will include golf, gymnastics, swimming and diving, and tennis.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this sponsorship,” Dr. Richard Houseman, dean of BYU Continuing Education, said in a statement. “Students are our primary focus, and this sponsorship allows us to support student-athletes, who compete at the highest levels both academically and in their respective sport.”
This comes two weeks after BYU announced that Utah-based tech company Entrata entered a multi-year deal to become the jersey patch sponsor for Cougars football.
BYU Continuing Education is a division of the school that offers more than 650 online classes, 1,500 in-person classes and more than 150 annual events every year for both students and non-students alike.
Participating in BYU Continuing Education courses or events does not require a formal university admission to the school.
“We are grateful for BYU Continuing Education and appreciate this support for our Olympic sport programs,” BYU athletic director Brian Santiago said in a statement. “Our Olympic teams have been nationally relevant for many years, and we look forward to a promising future.”
Along with the jersey patch, BYU Continuing Education will also be featured in Cougar Olympic sports through in-venue branding, broadcast media and fan engagement initiatives.
The first BYU team to feature these new jersey patches will be the Cougars’ soccer team. BYU plays its annual intra-squad scrimmage Saturday and will face Idaho State in an exhibition on Aug. 8 before opening the regular season at UCLA on Aug. 12.
