Here’s a look at some headliner performances from Week 3. Also check out the Deseret News’ complete sortable leaders feature for offense, defense and special teams.
Class 6A
- Tusi Tuikolovatu, Bingham — Carried the ball 19 times for 165 yards and three scores in powering Bingham to the easy 42-0 win over Timpanogos.
- Creed Devries, Weber — Caught seven passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns in helping Weber beat rival Roy 53-35.
- Filisi Filipe, Herriman — Carried the ball 11 times for 168 yards and six touchdowns in another dominant performance in Herriman’s 55-7 win over West Jordan.
- Jagger Fountaine, Skyridge — Completed 29 of 46 passes for 297 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for another score as the Falcons beat Hun, N.J. 31-24.
Class 5A
- Brighton Reutzel, Stansbury — Completed 20 of 29 passes for 290 yards and five touchdowns, in addition to running for two more TDs in the 45-28 win over Woods Cross.
- Braden Boucha, Bountiful — Caught a 63-yard touchdown, returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown on the last play of the first half and then iced the win with a 40-yard Pick Six in the fourth quarter as the Redhawks slipped past Syracuse 36-33.
- Valentin Sanchez, Payson — Hauled in six catches for 112 yards and two scores and then also returned a kick for a touchdown in the first quarter as the Lions steamrolled Kearns for the 46-0 win.
- Thomas Deckart, Alta — Returned two interceptions for touchdowns in the second quarter for the Hawks, who had no problem dispatching Granger 49-0.
- Kadyn Reyes, Box Elder — Rushed the ball 17 times for 156 yards and a pair of scores as the Bees earned the 31-19 win on the road at Highland, Idaho.
Class 4A
- Karson Summers, Bear River — Hauled in eight catches for 156 yards and two touchdowns and also added six tackles and an interception defensively in Bear River’s 49-35 win over Thunder Ridge, Idaho.
- Gus Pater, Tooele — Big day on the ground helped lead Tooele to the 30-28 win over Cyprus as he racked up 124 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries.
- Landon Woods, Uintah — Threw for 183 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for two more TDs in leading the Utes to a dominant 54-7 win over Taylorsville.
- K’Von Houston, Hillcrest — Completed 17 of 23 passes for 309 yards and four TDs, while also rushing for another score in Hillcrest’s 51-0 lopsided win over Cottonwood.
Class 3A
- Dexter Packard, Carbon — Rushed the ball 12 times for 119 yards and four touchdowns, including the game-winning TD with 1:10 remaining to lead Carbon to 42-37 win over Juan Diego.
- Dawson Dunlevy, Grantsville — Caught three passes for 100 yards and the game-winning touchdown on the last play of the game as Grantsville beat Manti 47-46 in a wild back-and-forth game.
- Cordon White, Richfield — Threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more in Richfield’s 48-0 win over Deseret Peak.
Class 2A
- Brigg Palmer, San Juan — Carried the ball 15 times for 145 yards and four touchdowns in leading San Juan to the 54-7 win over Kanab.
- Gary Grayson, Providence Hall — Strong game on the ground as he rushed the ball 20 times for 198 yards and two TDs.
Class 1A
- Emmett Lurth, Beaver — Recorded 12 tackles defensively while also adding a rushing and receiving TD in the Beavers’ 50-40 road win at Emery.
- Houston Mickelsen, North Sevier — Completed 20 of 30 passes for 260 yards and four touchdowns in leading the Wolves past Judge Memorial for the 48-15 victory.
