Lori Vallow Daybell’s closest friend said in a recent interview with EastIdahoNews.com that she wasn’t surprised when Tammy Daybell passed away.

What’s going on:

  • Lori Vallow Datbell’s good friend Melanie Gibb spoke with EastIdahoNews.com in a three-part interview series about the case.
  • In the third-part, Melanie Gibb said she wasn’t too surprised when she learned Tammy Daybell was dead. She said Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell, the husband of Tammy Daybell, told her that Tammy would die.
  • Gibb said: “I didn’t know how they did it, but I knew it was part of the plan that she was supposed to pass away. Other people knew she was supposed to pass away because Chad knew this information for quite a while.”
  • Gibb said she called Lori Vallow to ask about Tammy Daybell’s death. Lori Vallow acted surprised on the phone, Gibb said. But, she said, Lori Vallow had told her that she needed to be with Chad.
  • Gibb said: “Their whole goal was to get together because they expressed to me many times that Tammy would be OK with this as she passed on. (They said) she may not remember it now, but … she had a mission to fulfill on that (the other) side, so they both felt that was where she was supposed to go.”

What else Gibb said

  • Gibb talked to EastIdahoNews.com about a number of topics related to the Lori Vallow case, including the idea that Lori told her JJ Vallow had become zombie. She also talked about the relationship between Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow.
  • Gibb said she remained quiet about the entire case because she feared what might happen to her, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
