LUFTHANSA will introduce daily nonstop flights from Newark to Frankfurt and Hamburg on March 25. The West German airline also plans to begin three New York (Newark)-Cologne and four Washington (Dulles)-Cologne nonstop flights a week from May 1. All the new services will be on 169-seat Airbus A310-300 planes.

Lufthansa says it will continue to operate two daily flights from Kennedy Airport to Frankfurt and one flight a day from Kennedy to Munich and Dusseldorf.AIR FRANCE will again offer nonstop flights from Kennedy to Nice this summer, starting with weekly Friday flights on April 27 and adding Saturday service on June 9. The airline plans to continue the Friday service to Nice after the summer, changing from 747's to Airbus 310-300's.

PAN AMERICAN ended its flights from Kennedy Airport in New York to Shannon, Ireland, from last month because it was not profitable, the airline said. It had been operating two flights a week.

Pan American says the planes will be reassigned to its service to South America. It is continuing to operate a sales office at Shannon.
