A New York appeals court has refused to order Engelbert Humperdinck to visit his 15-year-old daughter.

A court in 1980 found that Humperdinck was Jennifer Dorsey's father and ordered him to pay child support. But the 56-year-old singer has never visited the girl, and since an unwed father can be granted court-ordered visitation privileges, a child should have similar rights, the teenager's lawyer told a panel of judges in the appeals division of state Supreme Court.

The court on Tuesday turned down the request.
