Gregory Peck is lending his support to a campaign to preserve New Jersey's toughest-in-the-nation ban on assault weapons. The actor will appear in a commercial next week on cable TV asking New Jersey residents to oppose efforts in the Legislature to overturn the 2-year-old law, the Democratic State Committee said.
