A judge sentenced Guns N' Roses rocker Axl Rose to two years probation and ordered him to donate $50,000 to five charities on charges stemming from last year's concert riot in St. Louis, Mo.

St. Louis County Associate Judge Ellis Gregory found Rose guilty of assault and property damage following a one-day bench trial Monday during which both prosecutors and defense attorneys submitted stipulated facts.After reviewing the police report on the incident, statements from witnesses, and videotapes and photographs of the events, Gregory announced the guilty verdicts Tuesday.

Gregory sentenced Rose to two years probation and ordered him to pay $50,000 to five charities in the St. Louis area.

The charges stemmed from the riot that followed the Guns N' Roses concert on July 2, 1991, at Riverport Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, a suburb of St. Louis.
