Tony Randall says work has helped him cope with the death three years ago of his wife.

"Work is the only therapy and the best therapy," the actor told Lauren Hutton on her syndicated talk show. The interview airs Monday.Florence Randall died of cancer in 1992. The Randalls had been married 54 years.

Randall, 75, starred in dozens of movies and Broadway plays but is best known for the TV role of persnickety Felix Unger in the "Odd Couple."

He and his wife were college sweethearts.

After her death, he said, "I really didn't have time to grieve." But "if I'm by myself and just sit down, it'll come over me in waves."
