Sherman Edward Gatherum, age 77, passed away July 28, 1995 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born September 30, 1917 in Park City to Claude William and Ella Beardall Gatherum. Married Adeal Verna Sharp on August 3, 1941 in Elko, Nevada. She preceded him in death on October 28, 1985. Member of the LDS Church. Owned and operated Sherm's Barber Shop on Highland Dr. for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to live life to its fullest and far beyond.Survived by sons and daughter, Larry and LaMar (wife, Sara), all Holladay; R.D. (wife, Vickie), West Valley City; Arlene Carlson (husband, Dennis), Sandy; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Margie Taylor, Holladay. Preceded in death by son, Thomas and sister, Norma Cole.
Funeral services, Monday, July 31, 1995, 2 p.m., Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State, where friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to service. Interment, Wasatch Lawn.
