June Lockhart is perfecting her light bulb-twister wave for New Year's Day.
The star of TV's "Lassie" and "Lost in Space" will ride the 55-foot float saluting Thomas Edison at the Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena, Calif. With more than a half-million flowers, it features a giant image of Edison and such inventions as the incandescent light bulb and the phonograph.
"Generationally speaking, I could be called one of Edison's inventions, too," said the 71-year-old Lockhart, whose parents were introduced by Edison in 1921 while performing with an Edison production.
