Our beloved husband, father, brother, friend and grandfather, Steven Zachary Murdock, age 40, passed away April 28, 1996 in Sandy, Utah due to an auto pedestrian accident.

Zack was born March 19, 1956 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the son of Clyde Alan and Joy Castleton Murdock. Zack had a daughter and a son from a previous marriage and devoted the rest of his life to caring for his children. He married Marilyn Weston on April 4, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a loving father, Black Belt karate instructor and enjoyed competing in karate and arm wrestling competitions. Zack was an accomplished musician and poet. He was also expert in sleight of hand. Zack was quick with his wit and could always make you laugh. He was very compassionate and understanding with people, giving more than he received. Zack lived life to the fullest in everything he did. He loved the outdoors, especially boating and spending time with his family. He loved animals, especially his seven cats. Zack was self-employed for many years in the sales industry.Zack was a kind and loving individual who was respected and admired by all who knew him. His passing saddens our hearts and leaves a great void in our lives. We will miss him and he will always be in our hearts and prayers.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn; daughter, Chelsea, son, Chandler; stepchildren, Andy, Richard, Jacob, Bret; parents, Alan and Joy; two brothers, Kraig (Toni), Mark (Kelly), one sister, Michelle; parents-in-law, Floyd and Barbara B. Weston; step-grandchildren, Drake, Dylan, Dakota; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, 1996, 12 noon, at the Holladay 11th Ward, 2065 East 4675 South. Friends may call Wednesday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Thursday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Zack Murdock Memorial Fund, 3251 So. 2300 East, SLC, UT, 84109. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Directors: Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
