Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Mabel Bernice Hall Miller, 85, passed away Sept. 9, 1997, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mabel was born July 2, 1912, in Fort Deposit, Alabama, the daughter of Lewis Moulton and Sarah Clementine Day Hall. Mabel was the 10th of 11 children. She married Fred Le Roy Miller February 14, 1933, in the Salt Lake Temple. Later divorced. Parents of five children. Mabel wrote beautiful poetry and was co-author of the book "Wheat for Man." Everything she did was done very well. She will be sorely missed by those whose lives she touched. She held various positions in the LDS Church, including ward and stake primary president, ward and stake Relief Society president, and Cannon stake news letter editor. She had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and unwavering faith in the Savior.Survivors include three daughters, and one son, Myrna (Leland) Gentry, Salt Lake City, UT; Elaine Carter, Salt Lake City, UT; David L. (Peggy) Miller, San Diego CA; Sharon Mabel (Jerry) Barber, Tucson, AZ; two stepdaughters, Evalyn Sandberg and Wanda Empey; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lester Hall, Roy, UT. Preceded in death by one son, Gordon L. Miller; one great-grandson, Kevin; four brothers; five sisters. The family would like to thank the Wasatch Valley Rehabilitation Center for their loving service and compassion toward Mom.

Fuenral services will be held Saturday, September 13, 1997, 1 p.m., at the East Mill Creek 15th Ward, 3750 South Hillside Lane (2600 East), where friends may call Saturday 11 a.m. until services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Mortuary.
