Terry Bradshaw, the Hall of Fame quarterback who led the Pittsburgh Steelers to four Super Bowl championships, and his estranged wife say their divorce is their business.

Bradshaw, 49, and Charla Bradshaw quietly filed for divorce in Dallas in February, ending a 12-year marriage. In a joint statement issued Wednesday, the two said they wanted to protect the feelings of their two young daughters. They said it is regrettable that "a small number of tabloid writers fixated on finding or creating a lurid and sensational motive behind the breakup of our marriage."

"We intend to keep the private, personal details of our marital problems private and personal," they said.
