An Erato longwing butterfly perches on a flower in the summer exhibit "Butterflies" at Utah's Hogle Zoo. The exhibit, which features 300 free-flying butterflies in a tropical garden setting, opens Saturday, as does the zoo's new $5.8 million, 1.5-acre Entry Plaza. The plaza boasts timber structures with a "lodge" flavor and a covered pavilion that can seat up to 500 people for a sit-down dinner and many more for a buffet-style event. There's also new parking lot landscaping and a waterfall at the zoo's entrance, as well as new restrooms, one of which features a private area for mothers caring for infants.
