Dr. Richard Paxton has joined the pediatric treatment team at Mountain View Hospital in Payson. Paxton received his medical degree from the U. and recently completed a residency program in pediatrics at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He will see patients at the Canyon View Medical Group in Spanish Fork.
Intermountain Hematology/Oncology Associates announced two staff additions. Dr. Nitin B. Chandramouli will accept cancer patients at the group's St. Mark's Hospital office. Chandramouli was chief fellow (hematology/oncology) at the U.'s Huntsman Cancer Institute. He earned a medical degree from the University of Iowa, where he also served an internship and residency. Dr. Richard N. Frame has joined Intermountain Hematology/Oncology Associates' Davis Hospital and Midtown office locations. Frame earned his medical degree at Wayne State University and completed a residency in Detroit. He completed fellowship training in cancer treatments at the U. Intermountain Hematology/Oncology operates seven offices along the Wasatch Front.

Hamlet Homes, a Salt Lake-based home builder, announced two staff additions. Larry Babcock was hired as sales manager. Babcock has 11 years of sales experience and will oversee the management of a 14-person sales team. He is a graduate of Ferris State University. Bonnie Shepherd was hired as a sales representative. The SCO Group has appointed Sean Wilson as senior vice president of corporate development. The law firm of Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough announced two staff additions. John L. Vernon has joined the firm as a shareholder. Vernon has practiced law for more than 20 years, specializing in international law. Hiring Vernon gives the firm a presence in Dallas, where he will spend part of his time in addition to joining the Salt Lake office. Rena Miller has rejoined the firm after a number of years in corporate law. Miller's areas of focus include franchising, licensing and distribution law.
The new Rotary Club of Draper-Riverton has announced the election of its charter officers and directors for 2002-03. Russell A. Cannon was elected president; Julie Wilson, president-elect; Eric Jack, secretary; Lonnie Hunter, treasurer; Joel Rush, sergeant-at-arms. The following members were elected to the board of directors: Sam Leaver, Brad Sheppard, Douglas Lowe, Bill Rappleye, Julie Pitts and James Smith. The new club consists of 25 charter members. It was awarded its charter from Rotary International on Aug. 1.
Craig Osterloh of Sandy recently was elected to serve as chairman of the board of Operation Smile, an international charity providing reconstructive surgery to children with facial deformities. Osterloh has served on the Operation Smile board for nearly two years. He served as executive director of the board of Operation Smile's Utah Chapter. An entrepreneur, Osterloh has interests in restaurant and software businesses.
U.S. Bank has named Jon VanderStek vice president and relationship manager for commercial banking at U.S. Bank in Utah. VanderStek is responsible for relationship management in commercial banking. He is a graduate of BYU and the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle.
