Scott Housley Hansen 1949 ~ 2005 Scott Housley Hansen passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2005 at his home in Plano, Texas. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 28, 1949, Scott was the oldest son of Evan Owen Hansen and Darlene Mae Housley Hansen. The family moved to Dallas in 1952 where Scott graduated from Richardson High School in 1967. He attended Utah State University and Brigham Young University and worked in the apparel business where he was a respected and successful salesman and manager. After living in Milwaukee and New York City, he returned to the Dallas area where he raised his children. He and his former wife, Maureen McGovern, were married on July 3, 1979. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1988. They have five wonderful children: Samantha Danielle (23), Rhett McGovern (20), Chloe Mae (15), Luke McGovern (12), and Chester Evan McGovern (9). Scott was devoted to his children and will be remembered by his family and friends for his unconditional love, his kindness, and his generosity. Scott was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in numerous capacities. In addition to his parents, children, and former spouse, Scott is survived by his five siblings: Kathleen Hansen Hinckley (Salt Lake City), Steven Owen Hansen (Las Vegas), Lori Lynn Hansen Nelson (American Falls, ID), Clark Housley Hansen (Scottsdale), and Darlene Mae Hansen Close (Salt Lake City). Funeral Services were held on Saturday January 15, 2005 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Plano, Texas.
