Elder Ben B. Banks, emeritus member of the Seventy and president of the Jordan River Utah Temple, and his wife, Susan K. Banks, have been called as directors of Church Hosting.
They will begin service Nov. 1, upon conclusion of service as president and matron of the temple.
As a member of the Seventy, Elder Banks served in area presidencies and in the Presidency of the Seventy. He also served as president of the Scotland Edinburgh Mission and as a stake president and bishop.
He is the former owner of Intermountain Wood Products. He was born in Murray, Utah, to Benjamin Frederick Banks and Samantha Chloa Berry Banks. He and Sister Banks have eight children, 31 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to serving with her husband when he was a mission president, Sister Banks has been a teacher in the Relief Society, Young Women and Primary, and counselor in ward and stake auxiliary presidencies. She was born in Salt Lake City to Edwin Josephus Kearnes Jr. and Blanche Beesley Kearnes.
