The Utah Law Enforcement Credit Union announced it has merged with Salt Lake City Credit Union.
The merger, which was approved by state regulators, was effective June 1. For the immediate future, ULECU said it will maintain its name as a division of Salt Lake City Credit Union.
The ULECU office at 450 E. 900 South will be retained, as will all of the employees, the credit union said.
There will be a transition period integrating ULECU members into Salt Lake City Credit Union's computer system, so ULECU advised its members to conduct their financial matters solely at the 450 E. 900 South location or at any of the Service Center of Utah branches until Sept. 1, 2006. After that date, ULECU members will be able to use any one of the Salt Lake City Credit Union's seven branches.
