OREM — Like good humor? How about good, clean humor — the kind that doesn't make you cringe?

That's what's happening at the SCERA Center for the Arts when popular touring comedian Greg Hahn stops in Utah County for two shows on Tuesday, Oct. 3.

The wildly energetic comic is known for zingers at the end of otherwise normal comments, such as: "My tax accountant has everything so organized. ... He even let me know which month I'm going to jail!"

Hahn, described as a spontaneous, master comedian and one of the best in the business, will headline the two shows at 7 and 9 p.m. at the SCERA, 745 S. State.

Reserved-seat tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children (age 3-11), seniors (65 and up) and students with identification. They are available online at www.scera.org, by calling 801-225-ARTS from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m. or at the door 30 minutes prior to each show.

Others who have seen his show describe it as "immediate pandemonium." His physical comedy, massive likability and hysterical one-liners have led to numerous television, corporate, college and theater appearances nationwide. Patrons can check out comedy clips at his Web site: www.greghahn.com.

Hahn describes himself as being a developmentally arrested child who grew up in south Florida and amused his Catholic nun teachers by poking holes in his pockets and shooting pens and pencils out of his pant leg. As a college basketball player, his tendency for half-court shots got him benched.

Hahn began a "normal" career as a corporate buyer but turned to comedy when he realized it was impossible for him to stay serious on a job.

Success took time; he endured several months of rough open microphone nights before landing a gig as master of ceremonies for a lumberjack show at Six Flags Great America. He made audiences laugh four times a day.

"I had to do jokes while a bunch of lumberjacks ran around swinging axes. Our log-rolling dog couldn't even swim; she would fly off the log and sink. We named her Splash."

Hahn also worked as an actor in the Wild Wild Wild West Stunt Show at Universal Studios while he perfected his comedy talent with club work. He moved to New York, then found great success headlining comedy festivals around the nation. He is in high demand to entertain at colleges and corporate conventions. Hahn has been featured on late-night talk shows and has appeared on NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, Comedy Central and performed on "Star Search."
