BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful will no longer give its consent for club liquor licenses.
The Bountiful City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to repeal an ordinance that allowed the city to give such consent.
The council decided that sufficient opportunities for on-premise consumption of alcohol exist in Bountiful and that club licenses won't be needed. The 5th Amendment, a club that has been operating in Bountiful for at least 30 years, is unaffected by the ordinance change.
