ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Elliot Johnson singled home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning Wednesday night to give the International League a 2-1 win over the Pacific Coast League in the Triple-A All-Star Game at Coca-Cola Park.

Mark Trumbo, the lone representative of the Salt Lake Bees, started at first base and went 1-for-1 with a walk in his two plate appearances.

The two teams combined for 10 hits. The International League had only five hits, but three came in a two-run rally in the sixth against Round Rock's Josh Banks.

Louisville's Chris Valaika led off with a double down the left-field line, and two batters later scored the tying run when Chase Lambin of Syracuse doubled to the gap in right-center. Johnson followed with a single to left to bring home Lambin.

Matt Miller's throw beat Lambin home but was just a little up the first-base line, and catcher Josh Donaldson of Sacramento couldn't hold onto the ball as he tried a swipe tag.

The PCL scored in the second inning on an RBI single by Iowa's Darwin Barney.

Scranton's Jonathan Albaladejo, who leads Triple-A with 29 saves, preserved the win for Syracuse's Anthony Slama.

Lambin and Iowa's Thomas Donaldson, the PCL's starting pitcher who pitched two hitless innings, were named their league's top stars.

The Bees were supposed to have two representatives in the game, but reliever Rich Thompson was called up by the parent Los Angeles Angels after the All-Star teams were announced.

Next season, Salt Lake City will be the site of the Triple-A All-Star Game. The 2011 game will be played at Spring Mobile Ballpark on July 13. Salt Lake City hosted the event once before — in July of 1996, when the stadium was known as Franklin Quest Field.
