The freshman weakside outside linebacker signed with the Cougars in 2009, but Van Noy had to wait until January to enroll at BYU due to legal and honor code issues. Now, he's making the most of his time. The 6-foot-3, 219-pound true freshman has displayed impressive skills on the Cougar defense.
"Kyle Van Noy has been big this fall camp," said senior cornerback Brandon Bradley. "He's made a lot of plays: bat-downs and sacks. He's shown the coaches the talent that he has."
Van Noy is still learning the offense and is expected to back up junior Jameson Frazier to begin the season, but he should make an impact this fall.
