Shauna Castleton Tiaffay1966 ~ 2012Shauna Ann Castleton Tiaffay, of Las Vegas, returned to her Heavenly Father Saturday, September 29, 2012. She was born March 13, 1966 in Salt Lake City. Her parents are Nancy Rutter and Bill Thompson of Ogden, Utah. Shauna lived in Utah until 1978, then moved with her family to Broomall, Pa. She later moved to the Northern Virginia area. Shauna moved to Las Vegas in 1994 where she lived until her passing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Shauna was always a very thoughtful, kind person. Over the years, she surrounded herself with many friends who loved and adored her. She was famous for baking cupcakes for special occasions. She truly lit up a room with her beautiful smile. She was a girly-girl inside and out, and loved anything pink. Shauna's greatest joy in life was her daughter Maddie. Everything she did revolved around her little girl. She was a wonderful, loving mother.Shauna is survived by her daughter Madison Taylor Tiaffay, her mother Nancy R. Thompson, sister: Paula Castleton (John D.) Richards of Nashville Tenn.,; brothers: David R. (Sally) Castleton of Salt Lake City, Michael R. Castleton of Roy, Brian A. (Stephanie) Thompson of Ogden, Michael L. (Graciela) Thompson, and John K. Thompson of Boise, Idaho. Preceded in death by her father. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 10, at 2:00pm at the Spring Canyon Ward Chapel, 6350 S Combe Road, Ogden, Utah. "Sweet Shauna, we love you and miss you with all our hearts. You are such a special part of our family. Our lives will never be the same. We know that you are surrounded by many loved ones, especially your Dad. We look forward to the time when we all will be together again as an eternal family. Our family has been truly blessed to have you in our lives."
