Lynn Edward Sorenson 1919 ~ 2013Lynn Edward Sorenson passed away February 14, 2013 in Oakley, Utah.He was born September 22, 1919 to Edward and May Snapp Sorensen at their home in Oakley. He graduated from South Summit High School and Utah State University where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Lynn married Emilie Ann Lefler on June 7, 1941, in Bountiful, Utah. They owned and operated a very successful dairy farm named Sorenson Shady Lane. He served on various Board of Directors including; Hi-Land Dairy, Weber River Water Users, and Oakley Town Board. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge where he received the Hyrum Award. Lynn served his country in the military during WWII.He is survived by his wife, May; son, Edward (Kathy); daughter, Kathy Lyne (Clark, deceased) Jones; grandchildren, Christy (Brent) Atkinson, Patty (Todd) Cark, Shad (Wendy) Sorensen, Kerry (Boyd) Bringhurst, K.C. (RonNell)Jones; 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great-grandchildren.No services are planned at this time. A memorial will be held at a later date.The family would like to give special thanks to Elk Meadows Assisted Living and Applegate Hospice.
