Politicians are often talking about reaching across the isle and working with the other side, but two politicians have taken working together to a whole new level.
On Oct. 29, a Discovery Channel show, "Rival Survival" will feature Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) working together to survive on deserted island, according to the Washington Post's blog.
According to Discovery, the two senators will be given limited supplies, and therefore must work as a team to survive on the island for one week. Heinrich and Flake will have to find water, build a shelter and catch fish to eat during their time on the island.
In anticipation of the show's premier, the opposing senators appeared on David Letterman to discuss their upcoming adventure.
The show airs at 10 p.m. ET on Oct. 29, on the Discovery Channel.
