Brett and John Roberts, brothers and creators of Bored Shorts TV, announced Friday that Utah's first YouTube convention will be held in August, bringing together YouTube stars such as Glozel, the cast of "Studio C," Stuart Edge and others.

The Roberts brothers, well-known for their YouTube series "Kid History," explained that the event will include live performances, along with the opportunity to meet Utah's YouTube stars.

"It's a big fun party," Brett Roberts said of the event. "Lots of performances ... a chance for channels to engage with their fans."

Other YouTube stars participating in the event include Cute Girls Hairstyles, Working With Lemons, Scott DW, Teddie Films, the Gardiner Sisters, the Salt Lake Pops Orchestra, K-Face TV and Eric Thayne. A comprehensive list of participants is available on cvxlive.com.

The convention is titled CVX Live 2015 (Creator Viewer Experience) and will be held Aug. 7-8 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Utah Valley University's UCCU Center in Orem.

A video competition will be held leading up to the event. A panel of judges will select the top five participants, who will be invited to participate in the convention. The grand prize winner will receive a new camera, a camera kit, online promotions and the opportunity to collaborate with other Utah YouTubers.

The video competition is open to those who have fewer than 10,000 subscribers on YouTube. Entry forms will be provided on cvxlive.com.

Tickets may be purchased online.
