Former Vice President Joe Biden and Julian Castro, the former Housing and Urban Development Secretary, had a brief tangle over health care Thursday night.

Biden had been debating with Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the early-going of the Democratic debate.

Later, when Castro was asked to weigh in, Castro went after Biden for saying Americans would need to buy in for health care.

“They do not have to buy in,” Biden said.

“You just said two minutes ago that they would have to buy in. ... Are you forgetting what you said two minutes ago?” Castro asked.

The moment drew ire from the crowd. Per NBC Newss correspondent, here’s what happened:

Biden at 6:22 p.m. (MT): “Anyone who can’t afford it gets automatically enrolled in the Medicare-type option we have.”

Castro, 6:35 p.m. (MT): “You just two minutes ago they would have to buy in. Are you forgetting what you said two minutes ago?”

Castro also went after Biden, saying, “I’m fulfilling the legacy of Barack Obama, and you’re not.”

Biden replied, “That’ll be a surprise to him.”

Pete Buttigeg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, weighed in on the moment.

“This is why presidential debates are becoming unwatchable,” Buttigieg said.

Castro replied, “That’s called an election.”

To which Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar said, “A house divided cannot stand.”
