The Walt Disney Company unveiled the new logo for 20th Century Studios, which is slightly but jarringly different than the 20th Century Fox logo we’ve all seen.
What’s going on: Disney released a new TV spot for its upcoming film “The Call of the Wild” that included the new 20th Century Studios logo.
- The 20th Century Fox logo was one of the biggest movie introductions in history.
- Comicbook.com said: “Ultimately, no one really cares about the logo itself, but what the 20th Century Fox logo always represented really meant something to the fans. This was the logo and fanfare that played before Star Wars, creating memories in movie lovers that will always carry value. If asked right now, most people could probably sing the tune of the Fox intro without hesitation.”

Flashback: Back in January, the Walt Disney Company announced it had dropped the “Fox” brand from the 21st Century Fox assets, according to Variety.
- The company changed Fox Searchlight Pictures to Searchlight Pictures, too, which I wrote about for the Deseret News.
- And 20th Century Fox Television became Disney Television Studios, too, according to The New York Times.
