The upcoming episodes of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” will include a major battled tied to “Star Wars” lore — the Siege of Mandalore.
What’s happening:
- Katee Sackhoff, the voice of Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze, told Discussing Film that the upcoming final arc of “The Clone Wars” will center around the Siege of Mandalore, a moment in “Star Wars” history we haven’t seen yet.
- The Siege of Mandalore will show the Republic Army try to free Mandalore from the control of Darth Maul.
- Sackhoff teased her upcoming appearance on the show with Discussing Film.
- She said: “I don’t want to say anything nor do I think I can,” she says. “But I think that Bo-Katan will continue and will always strive to try to lead Mandalore to the best of her ability and the way that she deems fit. We’ll continue to see more of that from her.”
More important:
- Ashely Eckstein — the voice of Ahsoka Tano — told Comic Book Nation that the story of the Siege of Mandalore will become important for the entire Star Wars saga.
- She said: “I’ve been reading a lot of people’s comments and everyone wants to make the jump to the Siege of Mandalore. I mean, we’ve been waiting for that ever since ‘Clone Wars’ was canceled at the end of season 5. Thankfully, because of ‘Star Wars Rebels’ we know that Ahsoka lives, we know that she survives but we don’t know how or why or what happened. So I had all those same questions. So I understand why everyone wants to jump straight to it. You really need the Siege of Mandalore to understand everything that happens in the Skywalker saga. It’s pretty incredible.”
Connections to other shows
- We hear about the Siege of Mandalore in other “Star Wars” products. For example, it’s mentioned in the book “Ahsoka,” which centers around the Jedi character. We also hear about it in “Star Wars Rebels” and “The Mandalorian.”
