IKEA has released the official recipe for the store’s iconic Swedish meatballs recipe, a move that comes as other major businesses have released recipes for popular food items.
Here’s the full recipe:
For the meatballs:
- 500 grams beef mince
- 250 grams of pork mince
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 clove of garlic (crushed or minced)
- 100 grams of breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 5 tablespoons of milk
- Salt and pepper
For the sauce you’ll need:
- Dash of oil
- 40 grams of butter
- 40 grams of plain flour
- 150 ml vegetable stock
- 150 ml of thick double cream
- 150 ml of beef stock
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
