Disneyland remains closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that doesn’t mean you can’t experience some of the park vibes from your home.

SlashFilm has put together a list of films to watch to give you a “theme park fix.” The list includes films that carry a certain vibe or theme that fits different areas of the Disneyland theme park.

Here’s a quick look at the list:

  • Main Street, U.S.A. — “Pollyanna”
  • Adventureland — “The Jungle Book”
  • New Orleans Square — “Pirates of the Caribbean”
  • Critter Country — “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh”

Definitely head over to SlashFilm for a detailed explanation about why these films work so much to give you theme park vibes. The list does a good job at explaining how the theme of the film matches the vibe of the park area, and how the music from each of the film ties into those parts of the park, too.

Disney Plus actually released a similar list back in April when Disneyland closed up because of the COVID-19 pandemic, which I wrote about for Deseret.com.

The list recommended a number of films based on different areas of Disneyland, including Main Street, U.S.A, Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, among others.

Visit that list here at Deseret.com.

Disneyland closed back in mid-March because of the coronavirus pandemic. The theme park hinted at reopening on July 17 for its 65th anniversary. California would not issue any guidance to reopen, which closed the park indefinitely. No new reports have emerged about the reopening.
