Ikea now has two displays to show off the size of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles for people who are planning to rearrange space for the new consoles, The Verge reports.
What’s going on?
A user on Reddit recently posted a photo that showed the two console displays. The boxes offer people a chance to see how the new systems would fit into their entertainment consoles.
- The boxes appear to be the same shape as the systems themselves. Measurements have been written on the side of them.
- The PS5 mock box has a statement written on the side, which reads: “Which Ikea media storage unit will be able to fit my new, meme-ishly oversized, gaming console?”
You probably don’t have a console yet
Getting a PlayStation 5 is easier than it sounds due to the lack of consoles available across the United States. That said, a new report suggests Sony may increase the stock of the PlayStation 5 video game consoles soon, as I explained for the Deseret News.
- “The hope is that with this additional foundry capacity, downstream production will be able to ramp up as well. While PS5 stock will still be hard to come by in the coming weeks and months, it may not be too much longer before stock begins to catch up with demand,” according to Slash Gear.
- Sony plans to increase stock from 16.8 million cases to 18 million cases in 2021.
