The Tooele Valley Utah Temple was announced in April 2019. The location and plans were released last September. The 70,000-square-foot, three-story temple will be built at the northwest intersection of Erda Way and state Route 36 in Erda.

The church hopes to complete the Tooele Valley Utah Temple during the four-year Salt Lake Temple renovation.

The Washington County Utah Temple was announced in October 2018. The three-story temple of approximately 90,000 square feet, the second in the St. George area, will be built on a 14-acre site located northeast of 1580 S. 3000 East in St. George.

Plans to move forward with the Washington County Utah Temple come as the St. George Utah Temple is undergoing a major renovation expected to be complete in 2022.

The release of these exterior renderings comes as the church is in the process of filing public documents in preparation for breaking ground and starting construction on each temple. No groundbreaking dates have been set, and interior renderings will be released in the future, according to a church statement.
