SALT LAKE CITY — It’s going to be tough for anyone to break Utah Jazz legend John Stockton’s NBA record of 15,806 career assists, but Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has now passed him for second-most helpers dished in postseason play.

James needed just two to overtake Stockton’s tally of 1,839 playoff assists entering the Lakers’ Game 3 NBA Finals matchup against the Miami Heat on Sunday, and he did it early in the first quarter on an alley-oop to Dwight Howard.
