Utah’s quarterback room will be full in 2021.

Former Baylor Bears quarterback Charlie Brewer announced Sunday on Twitter that he will be transferring to Utah.

Brewer will be a graduate transfer. The 6-1, 210-pounder played four years at Baylor in the Big 12 Conference. In 2019, he led the Bears to an 11-1 regular season, a berth in the Big 12 championship game and a Sugar Bowl appearance.

This season, the Bears struggled, going 2-7. Brewer threw for 1,958 yards with a 61.7% completion rate, 14 touchdowns and eight interceptions. In 2019, he threw for 3,161 yards with a 64.5% completion rate, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Brewer will have a bunch of competition for the starting quarterback position, as Cameron Rising, four-star recent signee Peter Costelli, Texas transfer Ja’Quinden Jackson and Cooper Justice will all be vying for a shot at being named the starter.
