Five days ago, New Mexico State running back Mike Washington become Utah’s first running back pickup out of the transfer portal.

Now, he’s moving on.

Washington never signed a financial aid agreement with Utah and on Saturday morning, announced that he had committed to Arkansas.

In his junior season at New Mexico State, the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Washington ran for 713 yards and eight touchdowns. He also had nine receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown.

With the departures of Washington and Mike Mitchell, Utah now has four incoming running backs for next year — Washington State’s Wayshawn Parker, New Mexico’s NaQuari Rogers and freshmen Raycine Guillory and Daniel Bray.
