Faletau Satuala has become a standout for the BYU Cougars football team, and his younger brother is now primed to join the roster.
On Monday night, Lakepa Satuala announced his commitment to the Cougars on social media as part of the program’s 2027 high school recruiting class.
Listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Lakepa Satuala is designated as an athlete by recruiting websites. He also holds scholarship offers from Utah State and San Diego State in addition to BYU.
The Cougars were the first program to offer him back in January.
In 2025 as a junior for Bountiful High, he tallied 49 tackles on defense and 339 yards on 21 catches on offense, according to the Deseret News high school sports statistical database.
Satuala becomes the 14th high school prospect to commit to BYU as part of its 2027 recruiting class. He was the second to announce on Monday after Peyton Higginson did so in the morning and the fourth to announce this month already.
Uhila Wolfgramm announced his pledge on July 2 and Kyle Nabrotzky did so on July 3.
