Garett Bolles’ best season as a pro led to another honor, this time from his peers.
The Utah native and Denver Broncos left tackle came in at No. 42 in this year’s NFL Top 100 rankings, a list compiled by the league each offseason and voted on by NFL players.
This is the 16th year of the rankings, and for Bolles, it’s the highest he’s ever been ranked.
Bolles earned first-team All-Pro honors during the 2025 season, after he didn’t allow a sack in 1,126 snaps played. He was also named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.
During his ninth NFL season, Bolles earned an 89.3 overall Pro Football Focus grade while allowing a pressure rate of 5.9%, which was the lowest at his position last season and the second-lowest among left tackles since 2018, per the NFL.
It was the second-straight year Bolles had the lowest pressure rate at his position, with a 4.5% in 2024.
This is the second time Bolles, who prepped at Westlake High in Utah, and also played at Snow College before becoming an All-American at the University of Utah, has appeared on the NFL Top 100 rankings.
In 2021, he made his first appearance on the list at No. 82 after earning second-team All-Pro honors the previous season.
“I don’t respect a lot of tackles, I’ll tell you that. Garett is a guy I respect,” Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux said of Bolles in a video shared on social media announcing him at the No. 42 spot.
“He plays all four quarters. That’s something that it’s tough to do, especially at that offensive tackle position, especially when you got edge guys like we do in this league. He’s one of those dudes that are just hard to get around.”
The 2026 version of the NFL Top 100 rankings will continue to be released through Sept. 4. Each day, the league releases two more players on the list — on Monday, that includes players ranked No. 40 and No. 39, and once it reaches the top 10, the NFL will announce one spot at a time.
Thus far, three other Utah connections have also been ranked in this year’s NFL Top 100.
- No. 54: Fred Warner, San Francisco 49ers, former BYU LB, No. 16 in 2025
- No. 72: Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers, former Utah State QB, No. 68 in 2025
- No. 81: Bobby Wagner, free agent (previously Washington Commanders), former Utah State LB, No. 74 in 2025
Other Utah names to watch for on this list moving forward include Detroit Lions offensive tackle Penei Sewell, who prepped at Desert Hills High, and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, who played at both BYU and Orem High.
Sewell came in at No. 13 on last year’s NFL Top 100, while Nacua was No. 41.
