Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee for president.

The movie adds left-wing support to Biden and represents “a major step toward bringing unity to the party’s effort to unseat President Trump in November,” according to The New York Times.

Both Biden and Sanders appeared on a livestream where Sanders told Biden: “We need you in the White House. And I will do all that I can to make that happen.”
Biden added, “I’m going to need you. Not just to win the campaign, but to govern.”
The conversation shows a friendly conversation between Sanders and Biden. Many media members and politicos made the point on Twitter that Sanders and Biden are friendly with each other, which made the endorsement a no-brainer for Sanders.

The distrust of many progressives is a real obstacle for Biden, and he clearly knows it. But the gulf between what Sanders is saying now, and what some of his loudest supporters have been saying over the last week, is also a challenge to the political coherence of the left.

For those thinking niceness doesn't matter, it seems to have gone very far in how Sanders has dealt with Biden because he personally likes Biden.

One thing you see in the Bernie endorsement of Biden is that he and Biden personally like each other, which was always obvious in the debates, and looks like it's smoothing this process now
