Salt Lake County elected officials, health care experts, business leaders, nonprofit representatives, team mascots and Real Salt Lake representatives pose for a socially distanced photo during a press conference at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy on Wednesday, where Utahns were encouraged to wear a face mask to help stop the spread of COVID-19. During the event, the representatives gathered to show their support for the #MaskUpUtah campaign, sponsored by the Utah Hospital Association and the state’s four largest health care providers, and shared who they wear their masks for. The also announced a contest where people can post photos of themselves wearing face coverings on social media using the #MaskUpUtah. Winners will be selected each week and awarded prizes from Real Salt Lake.
