Our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Lucile Miner Johnson, age 78, returned to her Heavenly parents February 2, 1991, from her home in Salt Lake City.

She was born July 11, 1912, in Eureka, Utah, the daughter of Lawrence Adams and Sarah Loretta Ellertson Miner. She married Howard D Johnson on Aug. 23, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1989. She was a graduate of the LDS Business College and a former member of the Exchangettes (the Salt Lake Exchange Club). At the time of her death she was president of Southern Utah Broadcasting (radio station KSUB-AM/KSSD-FM) and president of Investment Center (a family investment-real estate group). As an active member of the LDS Church, she held many positions of service over the years including MIA president and all areas of the Relief Society; currently she was the Relief Society secretary in her ward.She enjoyed Genealogy and was enthusiastically involved in the name extraction program. She also enjoyed hand work, and has left special memories for each member of her family. Lucile was a kind and loving individual who was devoted to her family, friends and neighbors and was held in high esteem by all. Her passing saddens our hearts and leaves agreat void in our lives.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters, Mrs. William D. (Barbara) Jensen, Boston, Mass.; Mrs. Ronald B. (Shirley) England, Salt Lake City; Jerold W. (and Suzanne) Johnson, Salt Lake City; David K. W. (and Judith) Johnson, Tooele, 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five brothers, Aurelius E. (Bud), George C., L. John, Richard A. and Wallace D. Miner. Preceded in death by a son, Howard Miner Johnson; and a sister, Faye Wrathall.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 7th, 1 pm, at the Valley View Ninth Ward, 1925 East Gunderson Lane (4101 So.), with Bishop Duane Bullough officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, evening from 6-8, at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Thursday from 12-12:45 p.m. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
