Tansu Ciller, Turkey's first woman premier, formed a new coalition government Friday with the Social Democrats, state radio said.

President Suleyman Demirel approved the 32-member Cabinet list submitted by Ciller, 47, a U.S.-trained economist elected leader of the center-right True Path Party two weeks ago, the report said.Ciller was to announce the Cabinet at a news conference later.

State radio said Deputy Prime Minister Erdal Inonu, the Social Democrat leader, and the other Social Democrat ministers retained their former posts.

The previous government headed by Demirel also was a coalition between the True Path Party and the Social Democrats. Demirel, a seven-time premier, quit his posts last month to succeed the late Turgut Ozal as president.
