Gina Carano — a former star of “The Mandalorian” series — has picked up a new role as a special agent in an upcoming Hunter Biden biopic, “My Son Hunter.”
- Carano announced she would join the film, “which follows the U.S. President’s son and his scandalous business dealings and lifestyle,” per Deadline.
The movie will focus on President Joe Biden’s youngest son Hunter “and his party lifestyle as he acquired tens of millions of dollars from foreign entities owned by Chinese, Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs,” according to Deadline.
Carano, who played Cara Dune in the “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian,” will play a secret agent alongside Laurence Fox, who will play Hunter Biden, and John James, who will play President Biden.
- “She is a world-weary secret service agent present at most of the Biden family’s dodgy dealings. She provides a voice of truth and Sardonic comedy over the absurd dealings of the Biden family and various Chinese, Russian, and Ukrainian oligarchs,” said the film’s producer, Phelim McAleer, per Deadline. “She is present throughout the film — commenting and sometimes narrating the absurd life and party lifestyle of Hunter Biden and the dodgy dealings of his father.”
In February, Carano announced she would link up with The Daily Wire and co-founder Ben Shapiro for a new movie project, which she will help produce and direct, too, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
- “We could not be more excited to be working with Gina Carano, an incredible talent dumped by Disney and Lucasfilm for offending the authoritarian Hollywood Left. This is what Daily Wire exists to do: provide an alternative not just for consumers, but for creators who refuse to bow to the mob,” Shapiro said at the time.
Carano had been dropped from Lucasfilm after controversial social media posts surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine, Democrats, face masks and voter fraud, among other political issues, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
There have been rumors she’ll return to “The Mandalorian” in a future season, but nothing official has been announced.
