A new “Star Wars” rumor suggests Disney will soon have a miniseries dedicated to Boba Fett, the legendary anti-hero from the “Star Wars” franchise.

What’s happening?

Deadline reports there’s a project or spinoff tied to “The Mandalorian” in the works.

  • A Boba Fett miniseries is one idea being floated around.
  • It would begin filming next week or later in the month.
  • Production for “The Mandalorian” season 3 would come shortly after that.

Boba Fett on ‘The Mandalorian’

Spoilers here — but Boba Fett made an appearance at the end of “The Mandalorian” season 2 premiere episode. After the Mandalorian saved the city of Mos Pelgo, a figure watched him from afar. The figure turned out to be Temuera Morrison, who famously played Jango Fett and clone troopers in “Star Wars.” This is a huge suggestion of Boba Fett.

  • A mini-series on Boba Fett would mean that his appearance on “The Mandalorian” is short-lived, and won’t last beyond a season.
  • Still, anything can happen in the “Star Wars” universe.
