An extra special Slurpee Day is taking place at 7-Eleven stores on Saturday to celebrate the treat’s 60th anniversary.
To celebrate the anniversary of this favorite American treat on July 11, customers can get a free Slurpee and try out the new anniversary flavor. Free small Slurpees will be available nationwide.
“Very few brands become part of people’s childhoods, everyday routines and memories across generations like Slurpee has over the last 60 years,” said Brandon Brown, 7-Eleven Inc. senior vice president of fresh foods and beverages, in a news release. “As we celebrate this milestone Slurpee Day and create new ways for fans to connect, we want to recognize the customers who have turned a simple icy drink into a beloved cultural icon.”
There are also commemorative festive 60th Anniversary Slurpee Day cups available.
The new anniversary flavor

For a limited time, 7-Eleven is introducing a new Mountain Dew Confetti Chill Slurpee flavor for its anniversary.
According to a press release from the company, the flavor is “inspired by birthday cake,” with a twist of citrus blended together with the taste of vanilla icing to make a “zesty lemon cake treat in frozen drink form.”
The special Slurpees and festive cups will be available nationwide at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes locations nationwide.
