JERICHO, Juab County — Family members traveling to spread the ashes of Nancy Workman, Salt Lake County’s first mayor, were killed when their pickup truck crashed on their way to the Little Sahara Sand Dunes in Juab County.

Vern Workman, 80, and his wife, Betty Workman, 78, were traveling on Weis Highway in a white 2000 F-350 pickup truck Saturday when their truck “rolled 200 yards off of the road,” according to Juab County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Brent Pulver.
