Barry White, Anita Baker and Boyz II Men each were double winners at the Soul Train Music Awards show.
Baker's "Body & Soul" won for best R&B single and her "Rhythm Of Love" took the award for best R&B album by a female vocalist.White was honored for R&B song of the year by a male vocalist with "Practice What You Preach" and best R&B album for "The Icon Is Love," while Boyz II Men won for their album "II' and the single "I'll Make Love To You."
Brandy, who broke out with the single "I Wanna Be Down," was named best new artist.
Other winners at Monday's awards show: R. Kelly's "Bump 'N Grind" for best male R&B single, Snoop Doggy Dogg's "Doggystyle" for best rap album, Norman Brown's "After The Storm" for best jazz album, Aaron Hall's "I Miss You" for best R&B music video, and Sounds Of Blackness' "Africa To America: The Journey of the Drum" for best gospel album.
